Presented by Sarah Happel, MCC and Jim Sims, PCC

Do you struggle with pricing your coaching services?  Are you wondering what to invest in next to scale your coaching business? Too many coaches suffer in silence when it comes to talking about the costs of building a coaching practice.  Whether you want to coach on the side or expand your already booming business, this taste of George Mason’s Business of Coaching bootcamp delves deep into the costs of doing business.

All are invited to attend this online session, free of charge! Participants who attend the live session will receive 0.5 CC and 1.0 RD CCEUs to use toward the acquisition or renewal of your ICF credential.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:

Sarah Happel, CEO and founder of Spectrum Leadership Solutions, LLC, is a top leadership  consultant and executive coach who excels in cultivating leadership excellence. Formerly an international athlete, Sarah’s mission is to maximize the team performance and well-being of 100,000 teams by 2025. She works with global organizations driven to improve their communication, productivity, and corporate culture — one powerful conversation at a time.

Whether working directly with clients or serving as a George MasonCoach Fellow in the prestigious Leadership Coaching Certification in Organizational Well-Being, Sarah helps people achieve the next level of leadership mastery. Clients include the IMF, IFC, The World Bank, Volkswagen, PwC, Purdue University, American Council on Education, National Science Foundation, and Marriott International, and numerous government agencies.

With a Master of Science in Mass Communication, Sarah is known for spearheading thought-

provoking programs which spark personal and professional transformation. Sarah is an accredited Master Certified Coach (MCC) by the International Coach Federation and an alumnae of Georgetown University’s acclaimed Leadership Coaching Program. She is a co- creator of the successful SOAR Leadership Program with best-selling author Chalmers Brothers, which has certified over 200 executive coaches and HR professionals from around the world. She was also a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Helsinki.

As a certified Culture Facilitator and Diversity-to-Belonging Facilitator, Sarah supports

leaders and organizations in having critical conversations while navigating cultural challenges,

boosting morale, and improving resilience. Sarah is also certified in numerous leadership tools and assessments, helping clients cultivate strengths, build engagement, and alleviate blindspots. These include DiSC, MBTI, The Leadership Circle Profile, the Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI), Team Coaching, and Appreciative Inquiry. She has also completed George Mason’s Advanced Coaching Program in Organizational Well-Being. After living overseas and working with leaders throughout Europe and South America for 12 years, Sarah leads the Spectrum Leadership Solutions team from Vienna, Virginia.

Jim Sims: While at his prior law firm, Jim also focused on its people, serving on its professional development and evaluation committees. Along the way, he trained, mentored, and coached countless people with diverse backgrounds, interests, and goals. This experience led to his move into coaching. Now an International Coach Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach, in addition to providing legal services, Jim also coaches clients in corporations, law firms, nonprofits, and local, state, and federal government. And he’s developed a unique and interesting intersection – he coaches lawyers (a tough assignment at times!) and also provides legal services to coaches.

In addition to his multi-national law firm client and internal leadership experience, Jim also served as the chair of various American Bar Association divisions and committees, working with diverse attorneys from many firms and organizations. He’s also served on several boards, including the American Hospice Foundation (both as a board member and as Treasurer), the Mid-Atlantic Association for Imago Relationship Therapists (both as a board member and as co-chair of its education committee – in each case, as a non-therapist), Corsearch’s Advisory Board (a trademark research firm), and George Washington University Law School’s Intellectual Property Advisory Board. In his most recent leadership role, Jim served as the President-Elect, President, and then Past President of the 1500+ member ICF Metro DC chapter; he also chaired its annual Capital Coaches Conference in 2018 and co-chaired its 2019 Conference. In addition, Jim serves as a Global Good Fund Leadership Development Coach, as well as a Mentor Coach for the Executive Leadership Coaching program of Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. A trained mediator, he’s also an Imago couples’ relationship coach, having completed (as a non-therapist) the same core training program that licensed therapists go through to become certified Imago Relationship Therapists.

Jim tackles each of his legal and coaching engagements with a rye sense of humor, occasionally sandwiching puns into his communications – a successful recipe followed throughout his career.
