Description

Artificial intelligence coaches are a frontier in helping professions. Human coaches are beginning to ask, “What part of my coaching practice may become automated?”

To help answer this and other practical questions, participants in this session will experience a goal-attainment coachbot named Vici (pronounced “Vee-chee”). The discussion leaders will compare this to a laser-coaching session conducted by a human being in order to inform a discussion of ethical considerations and integrative solutions.

Session Objectives

By the end of the session participants will be able to:
list three important moments or concepts from AI history related to coaching;
describe aspects of their coaching practice that may become automated; and
explain (experience) the benefits and limitations of coaching chatbots;
