COMMUNICATION AND MARKETING

People are attracted to communities that are vibrant, active, and growing. To get them that way – and keep them that way – requires good communication and marketing.

"Doing business without (communications) is like winking in the dark. You know what you are doing but nobody else does.”

~Steuart Henderson Britt

Getting the word out about the ICF Metro DC Chapter requires a full battery of communication tasks and digital marketing.

Here are some of the main ways we keep our members informed:

  • Chapter Newsletter – This subscription publication goes out every month as an e-newsletter, providing news and resource material for our members.
  • Social Media – Let’s be honest: we get a lot of our news from our favorite social media outlets. Keeping a strong social media presence is a good way to engage people and let them know what’s happening.
  • Chapter Blog – Thought leadership comes from being out there on the cutting edge and sharing that knowledge. Good and frequent blogging helps educate and attract members. We’re always looking for topics and ideas.

Here's how you can help:

CONTRIBUTE – You don’t have to be a great writer to be a great contributor. Use your experience and skills of observation to help inform and educate others in the profession. You can also solicit articles that provide information to enhance the coaching profession.
