Biography
Dedrick S. Waterford Sr. is a Customer Experience Program analyst with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veteran Experience Office, supporting innovations, coaching, and mentoring new and seasoned CX professionals in the VHA community.
His career in public service began in the US Army as an Accounting Specialist. He retired after 21 years of honorable service as a Senior Imagery Intelligence Non-Commissioned Officer in the Military Intelligence Corp. Following retirement, Dedrick worked as a consultant in the Intelligence Community before discovering his passion for working with veterans while volunteering in radiology at the VA Northern California.
Dedrick’s VA career includes work as a Veterans Benefits Administration Change Management Analyst, Public Affairs Officer, Minority Veteran Program Coordinator, Patient Advocate Supervisor, and Veteran Experience Coordinator.
Dedrick holds a Master's Degree in Change Management and Organizational design from Drexel University and is a certified VHA Change Management practitioner. He is a 2024 Veterans Health Administration Associate Coach Development Program graduate with over 80 hours of professional coaching experience, both paid and pro bono.
