Biography
David Albritton is a recognized and accomplished business leader, an International Coaching Federation-certified executive coach (ACC), public speaker, and public relations/Communications expert with more than 35 years of leadership experience across the government, corporate and nonprofit sectors. He is a native of Philadelphia, PA and the founder and chief executive of the executive coaching and business advisory firm, Nineteen88 Strategies, which specializes in a range of management consulting services, most specifically focused on executive and leadership development coaching for corporations, government agencies, nonprofits, associations, small businesses and highly motivated individuals and teams.
David is a Service-Disabled Veteran that spent a year as an enlisted Sailor and 10 years as an officer in the U.S. Navy before transitioning into a variety of senior executive roles in Corporate Communications across the technology, automotive, aerospace & defense, retail, and nonprofit sectors at companies such as General Motors, Amazon Web Services, Exelis Inc., ITT Defense, Raytheon, Hewlett-Packard, Sears, Roebuck & Co. and United Way of America over the next 25 years. He holds the distinction as one of very few career public relations executives to transition in an operational role as the chief executive of a business division of a Fortune 25 company in addition to being elected to a public company board of directors.
He served as the President of General Motors Defense, the GM division that provides advanced automotive technologies to the global aerospace, defense and security markets. He currently serves as an independent director on the board of Embecta Corp., the Diabetes Care business of Becton, Dickinson and Company that spun off as an independent, publicly traded company in April 2022.
David has pivoted his vast career achievements into becoming a thriving executive development coach and strategist, focused on cultivating and refining the career paths of successful executives and leaders through a holistic and authentic coaching framework. Over the course of his career, he has leveraged his passion, knowledge, and leadership methodologies to inspire positive cultural change, performance optimization, and accelerated career pathing for hundreds of individuals.

He is received his International Coaching Federation (ICF)-certified executive coach training through Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership - Leadership Coaching Program.
