Biography
Bob Oberleitner is a certified executive coach and consultant who has extensive management and senior executive experience. He understands leadership as well as the challenges faced by leaders at all levels. He is passionate about helping people understand that as a leader, what they do “Matters and Impacts” the entire organization. His goal is “to sustainably improve organizations one leader at a time.” In his partnership with his clients, he provides them with a sounding board to facilitate their discovery of opportunities and help them solve challenges. Clients are transformed through his coaching and lead impactfully in a manner that is right for them, and their organization. Bob ‘s collaborative style serves to facilitate clients’ discovery of insights which open doors for their success.
Bob has dedicated his entire career to leadership and serving others. With 17 years of experience in the federal senior executive service (SES), coupled with 30 years as a manager and leader, he is successfully working with and coaching executives across the public and commercial sectors in areas like:

During his career he has worked with and coached senior leaders on a wide variety of topics including executive presence, managing up, strategic planning, goal setting, change management, process improvement, communication, time management and stress reduction. He understands that leadership is not easy and relies on neuroscience principles in coaching to facilitate change. Through his coaching, executives have a renewed approach to leadership by embracing their authentic style and passion for leading to achieve extraordinary results for themselves and their organizations.
Bob is certified with the International Coach Federation (ICF), is a graduate from the Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching program and holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University. He is certified in the Leadership Circle profile and both levels of the Hogan Assessment Instrument. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and two Westies.
