D. MARLENE THOMAS, is President and CEO for Thomas Management Consulting (TMC), LLC, a woman-owned small business (WOSB) that provides strategic consulting and executive coaching to Federal, State and private sector businesses. TMC’s integrated management approach is designed to address the support many organizations need to successfully manage their workforce. Services include facilitation, program and project management, human resource and organizational development services and processes such as organizational and team assessment, executive coaching, and leadership development training.
Experience
Ms. Thomas has over 25 years of demonstrated management of complex systems in Federal, State and local organizations. As a senior executive, she demonstrated program and project management success in full system life cycle of complex systems. She is results oriented with proven ability to implement standards, procedures, and processes that improve business operations. Her background includes developing and implementing human capital initiatives, migrating IT architecture to implement a paperless environment, and overseeing legislative, regulatory, policy and legal mandates while ensuring program viability and customer service.
Expertise
Ms. Thomas is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), and an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC). She received her coaching certifications from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and is the President of the ICF Metro DC Chapter (the largest city chapter in the world). Marlene’s area of coaching specialty includes: leadership and executive development, career transition, personal and team effectiveness and coach mentoring. She is also an active member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
