About this event

Nature & Outdoor Coaching Community of Practice: Forest Bathing

Join Glenda Hoon Russell for a session on the practice of forest bathing: the art of slowing down and immersing yourself in a natural environment. Forest bathing is a nature-based practice that enhances nature connectedness and strengthens social relationships, all while boosting nature's therapeutic and restorative effects for health and well-being.

The psychological and physical benefits of forest bathing include:

  • reduced stress and anxiety

  • lower blood pressure and heart rate

  • reduced inflammation

  • improved cardiac and pulmonary function

  • increased focus

  • enhanced mood

  • reduced mental and physical pain

In this workshop, you will learn the following:

  • A bit of history behind forest bathing/shinrin-yoku

  • The basic structure of a forest bathing session and its components

  • Ideas on how you can incorporate these components into your coaching practice.
