Here in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area, we have the most coaches per square foot in the entire nation spanning established coaches with diverse portfolio practices, and newly trained coaches entering the market each quarter; our ICF Metro DC Chapter membership continues to grow and today numbers 1,550!  Many coaches are just starting out, and many seasoned coaches have experienced significant losses with clients disengaging under the stresses imposed by the current environment, and many have had large coaching engagements/assignments cancelled directly related to the ripple effects of the corona virus pandemic. Still many others have been building their coaching businesses and are bearing up under the challenges brought about by this new covid age.  First, we must attend to care for ourselves, friends, families, colleagues, and clients: rest, nutrition, exercise, activities that engage our mind, body, and spirit, and dedicating time and focus to those essential human connections that sustain us all.  What can we do to develop, nurture, grow, and sustain a thriving coaching practice today?  Dhru Beeharilal, an accomplished leadership coach and specialist in career development, networking, entrepreneurial business consulting, and architect and Co-Founder of CoachKickStarter, will host a 90-minute virtual workshop on developing and building a coaching practice with a special emphasis on strategies, tactics, and actions that you can take today to enable a thriving coaching business!

Agenda:

  1. Introduction
  2. Defining Your Value Proposition and Targeting Niches
  3. Key Elements for a Thriving Coaching Practice
  4. Strategies for Networking and Business Development in a Virtual World
  5. Overview of Coaching Benches
  6. Enabling Technologies
  7. Professional Development – Another Avenue for Connecting
  8. Thought Leadership – Accessing Thought Leaders and Projecting as A Thought Leader
  9. Concluding Comments, Recommendations, Takeaways, Etc.

Although we have a “Notional Agenda” proposed, this event is intended to be an iterative, generative, emergent thinking enabling, open forum for our chapter members to ideate, discuss, share, reflect, and advance across launching, developing, and growing their coaching business!  We are all together in this chapter and this professional marketplace, and anything that supports your well-being, growth, and thriving, we want to address it!
