Inspirational leadership is a common term in companies, yet inspirational leaders are exceedingly rare. In this session, leadership coach Kristi Hedges provides powerful insights to finally break the code. Based on extensive research, thousands of responses from leaders, and real-world examples, Kristi shares exactly what inspiring leaders do that anyone can replicate. Kristi Hedges is a senior leadership coach with a specialty in executive communications. She’s the author of the The Power of Presence and The Inspiration Code, which have both been published in multiple languages. Through her coaching and workshops, she’s worked with CEOs, senior leaders and professionals in companies spanning the Fortune 500, non-profits and the U.S. government. She runs her own coaching practice, The Hedges Company, and is a founding partner in the leadership development firm, Element North. Kristi writes about leadership for Harvard Business Review and Forbes, and her columns have been read by six million people and counting. She’s regularly featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Entrepreneur, BBC, Chief Learning Officer and CNBC. Kristi holds a B.A. from Virginia Tech and an M.S. from Purdue University in communications. She is an ICF-certified leadership coach and a teaching faculty member of the Georgetown University Institute for Transformational Leadership. Prior to becoming a leadership coach, Kristi co-founded and ran one of the first technology communications firms in the Washington, D.C. area for a decade before successfully selling her interest. Her career highlights also include working for a national news outlet, and as a political consultant for dozens of electoral campaigns from U.S. President to statewide offices. She’s been honored as one of the “50 Women Who Mean Business in Washington, D.C.” and as an owner of a top 25 Largest Women-Owned Businesses by the Washington Business Journal.
