Herndon, Va, 20171

6 CCEUs (4.5 core, 1.5 resource)

All participants must bring a lawn chair as we will be sitting around the horse training ring in the Equestrian Center all day.

Join the ICF METRO DC Chapter for a fun-filled Fall Day as we observe and apply the leadership skills and coaching competencies demonstrated by a professional trainer (Louis Wood) and his client (a 2000 lbs. horse!) In watching and reflecting upon Louis’ interactions with the horse, we’ll consider many core competencies needed by coaches and organization leaders at all levels. Among the topics will be:

·       Establishing shared understanding of needs and expectations

·       Gaining commitment and increasing motivation

·       Developing meaningful relationships

·       Dealing with conflict resolution and change

·       Establishing clear and concise lines of communications

This unique event is open to members of the ICF Metro DC Chapter, your coaching clients and their teams, and to coaching school communities in the Metro DC area. Come as a group or as an individual and jump into discussions that may change your approach to coaching and leading.

AND DON”T FORGET !!!!  Each participant must bring his/her lawn chair as we will be in the Equestrian Facility. It may also be helpful to bring a clipboard to write on as we will not have desks available.
